Teacher Excavation Program Form
The annual Teacher Excavation Program is the result of a partnership between Archaeology in the Community and the Archaeology Department at James Madison’s Montpelier. In this program, teachers will participate in a week-long archaeological excavation on an actual research site on the Montpelier property, attend daily curriculum training to incorporate archaeology into their classroom, and participate in historic tours and lectures. This is a unique educational experience that will allow you to gain hands-on experience with archaeology and bring it into the classroom!
